Cantiques des Cantiques  and Chanson de Bilitis (Songs of Bilitis) are an erotic series of Illustrations completed in Greek figure art style . The Songs of Bilitis theme describes the poetess, Bilitis, as a Greek woman (daughter of Sappho) whose prose poems were discovered on the walls of a Greek tomb in Cyprus. However, the story of Bilitis actually turned out to be fictional.
